Learning through play, all day
Three age groups, each with lesson plans and a daily rhythm made just for them. Themes follow the seasons and the city we call home.
3–12 months
Infants
Our infant room is calm, cozy, and unhurried. Babies follow their own rhythms for eating, sleeping, and play while our caregivers hold, sing, and speak to them in Spanish and English throughout the day.
A typical day
- Bottles and feeding on your baby’s schedule
- Tummy time, songs, and gentle sensory play
- Naps in individual cribs
- Stroller walks outside each day
- A daily written update for every family
1–2 years
Toddlers
Toddlers are busy explorers. We channel that energy into hands-on discovery, early language, and lots of movement, with simple routines that help little ones feel secure.
A typical day
- Morning circle with songs in two languages
- Art, blocks, and sensory tables
- Snack and a nutritious catered lunch
- Daily walk to the neighborhood park
- Quiet rest time in the afternoon
2–3 years
Toddlers
Two year olds dive into projects, stories, and friendships. Lesson plans are tailored to each age group, and themes follow the seasons and DC itself, from winter animals to spring flowers and trips to the zoo.
A typical day
- Themed lessons and read-aloud time
- Art, science, and early literacy activities
- Neighborhood field trips and park visits
- Nutritious catered lunch and snacks
- Rest, then afternoon free play
A smaller in-home program
Lanier Lullabies also runs a smaller in-home program on Lanier Place NW, with the same warmth and care.
Welcoming every child
Our center serves children with special needs, working closely with families to support each child.
Allergy friendly and peanut free
We take children's allergies seriously. The whole center is peanut and tree nut free, and every allergy is posted in the kitchen and in the child's room.
